Quick update on my graphic journal progress:

Since I've been watching 99.9 lately (and loving it lots, don't even get me started on Tachibana - I'm crushing so hard help) I turned to it for inspiration. More like marathoned half the drama - details, details - and ended up drawing a scene from the first ep. It looks surprisingly alright considering yesterday was pretty much a NO day for me

This year I'm required to keep a visual journal for drawing class yay.
I've always wanted to work on one of those journals but have never gotten around to it. So this year, I finally have a reason to!

I finally got one and am having lots of fun with it + it's a good way to get me to draw regularly. As I'm interested in architecture, portraits and the like, but have 0 creativity regarding anything else, it'll most likely be filled with random sketches of cute people and buildings that catch my attention... none of that edgy/colorful stuff all the cool kids are doing sadly. Prepare to be bored to death.

Anyways, the other day I drew a couple pictures of Toda Erika from KagiHeya (cuz she's hella cute fight me) so I'll leave you with those ^^

Besides this journal affair, I'm working on a big (dimension-wise) anatomy project at the moment as my final for this unit. The theme is "quotidian life and the human body" and - of course - I managed to slip Arashi into it somehow, I can't that their my muses xP

What I'm donna do, basically, is using a picture of Nino (from More - he always looks so good on their photoshoots, like can he not), as a reference for an A2 page spread. I'll be working with charcoal and oil pastels, which I love to the moon and back. I was heavily influenced by Hope Gangloff during the whole planning process, do check her out she's really cool.

I don't have any photos of this one yet but this is the reference I'm using, it's one of my favorite photos of Nino ever - its sober, simple but the warm and homey atmosphere really appeals to me.

Well, that's all folks, I'll be posting updates on these projects whenever possible ^^.

Hey guys! How's everyone?

I'm sick atm so I decided to stay at home feeling sorry for myself and marathoning the first seasons of Kindaichi Shonen no Jikenbo. Aah~ I'd nearly forgotten how cute young Tsuyoshi was. Not that he isn't cute now, heck, Tsuyoshi is cute no matter what (shsh I have a soft spot for him sue me) but him playing Kindaichi does rly bad things to my heart.

In unrelated news, as I've mentioned before, I'm really excited about drawing classes this year, we just got started on my favourite subject -Anatomy- and I'm having a blast!

We're currently taking turns posing for each other and doing quick 5-15 min sketches at a time and it's going really well for me, I feel like I've finally made some real progress since last year.
Our teacher is also so so nice and gives really good criticism and tips!

Anyways I'll leave you guys with a couple of sketches I drew these past few weeks in class, hope everyone has a nice weekend!

Hey people!

First of all, sorry for my little to no activity on lj lately, I honestly haven't had time to post/comment these past weeks...
I also mentioned before that I had something prepared for Jun's birthday (and for 5x17 too) and I do! The thing is, my external hard drive (where I have all my Arashi-related stuff stored, including my graphics) has been giving me problems lately. I've just left it at a friend's house, hopefully, he'll be able to reformat it or at least recover my files. I worked so hard on that stuff too, cry for me guys (ಥ﹏ಥ)

Anyways how was everyone's summer? You guys should leave me a comment about all the fun things you did if you like, I always enjoy reading about that.

I spent most of it with my cousins and it was really refreshing, we went to the beach a lot and the weather was great most of the time!

I also spent a couple of days over at my brother's apartmetn in a little fishing/surfing village, about two weeks ago, and it was super nice!
We did some fishing, the beach was great and there's this tiny archipelago just off its coast that we visited, which I totally fell in love with. I had so much fun trekking and swimming, the water was so clear and blue (though a bit cold in comparison to my hometown) and there was this 17th century fortress built on top of some rock formation, it looked like something out of a fairy tale.

There are very few people actually living on the main island (the one we visited) because it is a protected area, and the ones who do live there are either fishermen or scientists so it wasn't crowded or anything, 100+ points for that!
I'll include a couple of photos here for reference purposes and maybe later I'll post some of the ones me and my brother took.

My cover was mostly based on Shibata Jun's original version with a bit of Nino's picking technique, so if you wanna check that out gafuku's version is a nice one to get started.

Hi people!

I've finally recorded that cover of Yume I mentioned the other day...well I don't know how to feel about it to be honest. I spent all day on it, literally ALL DAY, and I guess it sounds okay? I don't know, somehow I'm not totally satisfied with the outcome and the sound quality doesn't help *shrugs*
